Welcome to the Redfield Wesleyan Church mobile application ("App"), operated by Redfield Wesleyan Church ("Church," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 38519 174th St., Redfield, SD 57469. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use features that require account registration (such as group messaging, profile management, or downloading content). By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. Features that do not require an account (such as browsing sermons, reading scripture, or viewing events) are available to all users.
Certain features of the App require you to create an account using either an email address and password or Apple Sign In. You are responsible for:
You may update your display name and profile photo through your account settings. You may delete your account at any time through the Profile section of the App, which will permanently remove your account data.
You agree to use the App in a manner consistent with its purpose as a church community resource. You agree not to:
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward objectionable content and abusive behavior. We reserve the right to remove any content, and to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, if you violate these Terms.
The App provides access to sermon audio and video content for personal, non-commercial use. You may stream or download sermon recordings for offline personal listening and viewing. Downloaded content is stored locally on your device and may be managed through the Downloads section of your account. You may not redistribute, modify, or publicly perform downloaded content without express written permission from the Church.
The App provides access to scripture text from multiple Bible translations. Scripture content is provided by third-party API services and is subject to the copyright terms of each respective translation. See the Copyright Information section within the App for detailed attribution.
If you have an account, you may participate in small group messaging features. Messages you send, including text and images, are visible to other members of the group. Anonymous prayer request messages are labeled as anonymous but are transmitted through our systems and remain associated with your account in our records. You are solely responsible for the content of messages you send.
Zero tolerance. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior in group messaging. Before participating, you must agree to our in-app Community Guidelines, which prohibit harassment, hate speech, explicit content, spam, and other objectionable material.
Reporting and blocking. You can report any message you believe is objectionable by pressing and holding the message and choosing "Report Message." You can also block any member by choosing "Block Member," after which you will no longer see that member's messages; you can manage and remove blocks at any time under Account → Blocked Users. Reports are sent to Church staff for review.
Our commitment. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and will act on them within 24 hours by removing the offending content and, where appropriate, suspending or removing the user responsible. The Church reserves the right to moderate, review, edit, or remove any message, and to suspend or terminate the account of any user who violates these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
The App allows you to submit connection cards and prayer requests. Information submitted through these features is sent to Church staff and is handled with care and confidentiality. By submitting a connection card or prayer request, you consent to Church staff receiving and reviewing the information you provide.
The App allows you to create personal notes associated with sermons. Notes are stored locally on your device using on-device storage and are not transmitted to the Church or any third party.
The App may send push notifications about church events, announcements, and other updates. You can manage notification preferences through the App settings or your device settings at any time.
The App provides links to a third-party giving platform (Tithe.ly) for online donations. The Church does not process financial transactions directly through the App. All donations made through the linked giving platform are subject to that platform's own terms of service and privacy policy. The Church is not responsible for the operations, security, or policies of third-party giving platforms.
Event information displayed in the App is provided for informational purposes. Event details, dates, and times are subject to change. The Church is not responsible for errors in event information and will make reasonable efforts to keep information current.
The App may be available on Apple CarPlay and Apple TV platforms. Use of the App while driving via CarPlay should be done safely and in compliance with all applicable traffic laws. The same Terms apply to use of the App on all platforms.
The App supports Siri voice commands and Apple Shortcuts for certain features. Voice-initiated actions are processed according to Apple's privacy practices. The Church does not receive or store your voice recordings.
The App may provide home screen widgets (such as Verse of the Day). Widget content is fetched and cached locally on your device.
All original content provided through the App, including but not limited to sermons, bulletin materials, original media, graphics, and App design, is the property of Redfield Wesleyan Church unless otherwise noted. Scripture quotations are used under license from their respective publishers as detailed in the App's Copyright Information section.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
By submitting content through the App (including group messages, profile photos, connection cards, and prayer requests), you grant the Church a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to operate the App and its features. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you submit and that your content does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
You may request deletion of your user-generated content by deleting your account through the Profile section of the App.
The App integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. The Church is not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://redfieldwesleyan.church/privacy-policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. The Church does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The Church does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content provided through the App.
Spiritual content, including sermons and scripture, is provided for inspirational and educational purposes and does not constitute professional counseling, legal, medical, or financial advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Church, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App. This includes but is not limited to damages for loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.
In no event shall the Church's total liability to you exceed fifty dollars ($50.00 USD).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Church, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Dakota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Spink County, South Dakota.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Church regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
